JAMMU, MARCH 20 – Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah has extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Nauroz, saying the great festival has both cultural and religious significance. The day, he said, is also observed as the World Arbour Day.
In his message of greetings, the Chief Minister said the day is celebrated with religious fervour. He said the best way to observe such festivals is to work for strengthening the foundations of the country's traditional unity and brotherhood. “On this day, let us all unite and strengthen the bond of togetherness,” Mr. Abdullah said.
The Chief Minister hoped Nauroz will bring peace, development and prosperity to the State.
