| Govt to launch campaign against take universities | | |

JAMMU, MARCH 20-Government would take all measures including aggressive launch of awareness campaign in the State to stave off aspiring students from pursuing graduation/post graduation degrees from institutes not recognised by Universities of Jammu and Kashmir.
This was stated by Minister for Education, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed today in a meeting, which among others was attended by Secretary Education, Director Colleges and representatives of Universities of Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting discussed threadbare the issue regarding recognition of degrees being awarded by various institutes in the distance /correspondence modes.
Peerzada said that the Government laments the fact that many a aspiring youth are getting duped by fake institutions which provides degrees in various courses not recognized by the State. He said that Government is contemplating to derecognize many such institutions after seeking legal opinion in this regard.
