| ASCOMS organizes health camp. | | |
Jammu/ Sept.21:
ASCOMS & hospital, Sidhra organized a health awareness and treatment camp at village Swankha here today. The camp was inaugurated by Govind Ram Sharma in the presence of Director Hospital Administration and medical research, Dr. SC Sehgal.
While addressing the villagers, Dr. Sehgal briefed about various measures and facilities provided by the hospital to the needy people of the state. He said that ASCOMS is committed to provide better health care to the rural and the weaker sections of the society.
According to hospital sources, a total of 250 people came for the checkup and medicines worth Rs. 10,000 were also distributed. The patients requiring more special treatment were advised to come to hospital after contacting the Sarpanch of the Panchyats so that ASCOMS could make transport arrangements to carry patients to the hospital for the treatment.
Sources said that ASCOMS & Hospital management has policy to provide free treatment including free food for 20 percent of the bed strength of the hospital.
