‘Attendance portals not working properly in SED’
DSEJ directs CEOs to depute senior teachers, lecturers to handle portals

Jammu, Aug 8: The biometric attendance system is not working properly in the School Education Department because juniors in the department are handling the SED portal, which are supposed to be managed by the senior teacher or lecturer in the respective institute. Taking serious note of the casual approach being adopted by the officers, the Director School Education Jammu on Thursday directed Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of all the ten districts of Jammu province to depute senior teacher or lecturers to handle the SED portal.
“It has come to the notice of the undersigned that Biometric Attendance System (SAS) and JK attendance School Education Department (JK attendance SED) Faceapp is not being monitored properly by the Chief Education Officers, Principals, Zonal Education Officers and Fleadrnasters of Education Department of Jammu Division”, the order
It has come to notice that Faceapp is not being monitored properly by the CEOs, Principals, ZEOs and others.
The Biometric Attendance System and JK attendance SED portals are being handled by the Masters/ Teachers at the district and zonal level.
It is enjoined upon all the Chief Education Officers of Jammu division to pass instructions to concerned to immediately handover these portals to the senior most official.
The CEOs are instructed to submit the compliance report in this regard to this office within two days.

“Further, it is alleged that the Biometric Attendance System and JK attendance SED portals are being handled by the Masters/ Teachers at the District and Zonal Level, for which there is no proper monitoring of these attendance portals”, the order further reads.
“In view of the above and for proper monitoring of these portals, it is enjoined upon all the Chief Education Officers of Jammu division to pass instructions to concerned Zonal Education Officers and other subordinate offices to immediately handover these portals to the senior most official as per the guidelines”, the DSE directed.
The Chief Education Officers are instructed to submit the compliance report in this regard to this office within two days certifying therein that no teacher either at the district level or at the zonal level is handling these portals henceforth.
