Jammu, Mar 21- National conference leader Sajad Shaheen conducted 3-day tour to various far-flung areas of Pogal Paristan in tehsil Banihal to take stock of the problems being faced by the people of these villages. The villages visited by the NC leader include Ukherhal, Gunhal, Chamahal Pingara, Dakhal, Dal, Praker, Nowgam, Gujrara, Sainapati, Paristan, Shalgadhri, Maligam and Alanbas all villages of Pogal Paristan.
During the tour several deputations called on the NC leader and apprised him of the problems being faced by them. The villagers complained of poor supply of drinking water, health care facilities, road connectivity, and shortage of teaching staff in Schools besides shortage of ration at several village Gaths.
A deputation of villagers of Ukherhal and Khari met the NC leader and demanded Degree College for Ukherhal and Mini-Hydel project at Khari and Pogal besides providing basic amenities to the rural areas.
The NC leader assured the villagers that their problems including the opening of Degree College, Mini-Hydel Projects and better health care, teaching staff for schools besides their upgradation would be brought into the notice of the Chief Minister Mr Omar Abdullah.
A number of political workers affiliated to PDP and other political parties joined National Conference in presence of Sajad Shaheen and prominent among those include Adv Molvi Abdul Latif of Maligam, Faqir Chand, Thakur Balwan Singh, Harnam Singh, Thakur Bhar Singh, Hafiz-ul-Rehman Runiyal, Abdul Aziz Runiyal, Farid Ahmad Khan, Zahoor Ahmad ,Nazir Ahmad sheikh, Ghulam Mohammed Runiyal, Mohammed Sultan Runiyal, Mohammed Shaheen Runiyal, Mohammed Farooq Runiyal, Master Abdul Rehman of Paristan ,Haji Fazul Din of Maligam, Haji Abdul Rehman Ganai, Mohammed Isaq Bali, Haji Bashir Gujjar and Th Mathura Singh.
