MD JPDCL holds meet with senior officers to boost implementation of PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana

JAMMU, Aug 10: In a move to expedite the rollout of PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, , Vikas Kundal ,Managing Director, JPDCL, convened a meeting with Chief Engineer Distribution JPDCL, Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers and Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs) of JPDCL to discuss strategies for effective scheme implementation. The meeting focused on enhancing coordination, addressing challenges, and ensuring timely completion of targets. The modalities of the scheme were also discussed during the meeting.
Managing Director emphasized the importance of quality installations, prompt grievance redressal, and seamless vendor management. By intensifying efforts and streamlining processes, JPDCL aims to maximize the benefits of the scheme, providing free electricity to households through solar rooftop installations and contributing to a sustainable energy future for Jammu region.
As per the approval of the Administrative Council, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) is pleased to announce the grant of UT subsidy on PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. The details of the Centre subsidy are Rs 33,000 for 1 kW solar system, Rs 66,000 for 2 kW solar system & Rs 85,800 for 3 kW solar system with additional UT subsidy of Rs 3000 for 1 KW ,Rs 6000 for 2 KW and Rs 9000 for 3 KW which makes total subsidy of Rs 36,000 for 1 KW ; Rs 72,000 for 2 KW and Rs 94,800 for 3 KW. All eligible consumers who have applied for the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli scheme will be entitled to the above-mentioned UT subsidy, in addition to the central subsidy.
The Chief Engineer Distribution, Manhar Gupta directed officers concerned to facilitate the smooth implementation of the scheme and address any grievances or issues that may arise. JPDCL Nodal officer of the scheme presided the vote of thanks to all participants.
