Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 12: The Fertilizer Quality Control Laboratory (FQCL) Jammu has proudly achieved accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). This significant milestone was attained under the leadership and guidance of Shri Arvinder Singh Reen, Director Agriculture Jammu, and the dedicated efforts of the Agriculture Chemist Jammu, Dr. Aman Jyoti Sharma, Assistant Bio Chemist Dr. Dolly John, and the entire FQCL Jammu team. The NABL, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, is renowned for providing accreditation to testing and calibration laboratories across various fields. As a Constituent Board of the Quality Council of India, NABL sets rigorous standards to enhance the efficacy and quality of testing laboratories. The Government of India mandates NABL accreditation for national testing labs to ensure compliance with these high standards.
Director Agriculture Jammu, Shri A.S Reen, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the officers and team of FQCL Jammu. He commended their relentless efforts over the past two years to meet NABL’s stringent requirements. “This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the FQCL Jammu team.
It marks a significant enhancement in our laboratory’s capability to deliver precise and reliable results,” said Director Reen.
Looking ahead, the Department of Agriculture Jammu aims to build on this success by pursuing accreditation for the Pesticides and Soil Testing Laboratory.
The accreditation not only reinforces FQCL Jammu’s commitment to quality but also underscores its role in advancing agricultural standards and practices in the region.
