Div Com Jammu along with dignitaries, citizens, students & officials participates in a massive Tiranga rally in Jammu

JAMMU, Aug 12: A massive participation of people from all walks of life led by Chairperson, District Development Council, Bharat Bhushan, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, Additional Director General of Police, Anand Jain was observed in the Maha Tiranga Rally organized by District Administration and Jammu Municipal Corporation in Jammu.
The rally commenced from Gulshan Ground, PHQ saw participation of prominent citizens, students from schools and colleges, personnel from armed forces, senior officers of civil and Police administration.
Tiranga Pledge was administered to all the participants. Chants of Jai Hind, Vande Matram continued throughout the rally that passed from back gate of Jammu University to Gujjar nagar Tawi bridge and back to the Gulshan Ground where the participants further took part in the ‘Ek Ped Shaadeo ke Naam’ plantation drive and Tiranga canvas signature campaign.
A cultural program under Tiranga concert was also organized where families of Martyr and veterans were honoured for the supreme sacrifice and invaluable service to the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner highlighted the significance of celebrating Independence Day while remembering the sacrifices of the martyrs, freedom fighters and contributions of founding forefathers of our nation.
