| Wildlife Deptt exempted from poll duty | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, MARCH 21– Chief Wild Life Warden Mr. A.K.Srivastava today informed that the Election Commission of India has exempted the vehicles and staff of National Parks, Wild Life Sanctuaries and Conservation reserves of Wild Life department from being requisitioned for election duty.
Mr. Srivastava said that these standing instructions have been issued by the Election Commission keeping in view the significance of conservation of wildlife and the shortage of frontlines staff managing the protected Area Network of the country. He added that the objective of these instructions is to protect our diminishing wildlife resources, which are to be conserved for their aesthetic, recreational, spiritual, cultural scientific and economic value.
