Awareness Rally promotes Drug Prevention, Sanskrit Language in Kangrail Village
8/13/2024 10:07:31 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 13: An impactful awareness rally was organized in Kangrail village by the Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust to promote drug prevention and the Sanskrit language, as part of Sanskrit Month celebrations. The rally, which took place from the Government High School Kangrail, was flagged off by the former minister, Sham Lal Sharma, and Brijesh.
The rally sent a strong message to the community about the dangers of drug abuse and the significance of staying away from drugs. In his address, Sham Lal Sharma emphasized the devastating impact of substance abuse, not only on individuals but also on families and society at large. He praised the Trust for its commendable initiative in organizing the rally and highlighted the importance of education as the key to eradicating the evils of drug addiction. He also acknowledged Mahant Rohit Shastri's invaluable contributions to the promotion and development of the Sanskrit language in India.
Alongside the anti-drug message, the rally also focused on the importance of Sanskrit, often regarded as the foundation of all languages. Mahant Rohit Shastri, a key figure in the event, underscored that knowledge of Indian culture and tradition is incomplete without Sanskrit. He encouraged the community to enrich their thinking by promoting the Sanskrit language, which he described as integral to the growth of the linguistic and cultural heritage of India.
Dil Bahadur Singh Jamwal, speaking at the event, urged parents to teach Sanskrit to their children at home, advocating that it is through such efforts that the language can once again become prevalent in Jammu and Kashmir.
In addition to the rally, tree planting and distribution activities were carried out as part of the event, symbolizing growth and renewal. The school principal, Rakesh Verma, along with other prominent local figures, including former Sarpanch Dr. Shallu Sharma, Naresh Raina, and various Trust members, participated in the event.
The rally served as a powerful reminder of the community's role in combating drug abuse and preserving the cultural and linguistic heritage of India through the promotion of Sanskrit.
