Prerna Puri presides over Public Darbar at Kathua

KATHUA, Aug 13: Commissioner Secretary Information Technology, Prerna Puri, today presided over a public grievance and redressal camp and took stock of issues of people here at Kathua.
The camp witnessed an overwhelming response from all sections of the society and sought intervention and redressal of the issues being faced by them.
Speaking on the occasion, Prerna Puri said that the motive behind holding the Public Darbar was to take first-hand appraisal of the public issues and to resolve those on priority.
She highlighted Jammu and Kashmir's leading position in providing online government services, with a remarkable 1162 services currently available. Emphasizing the government's commitment to enhancing service quality, she informed the public about the recent launch of the 'Samadhaan' portal by the Information Technology department.
This platform is designed to efficiently address public grievances and suggestions, she said.
Prerna Puri commended Kathua Administration and its residents for securing the top position in the HADP initiative.
She also applauded the district's efforts in beautifying Lakhanpur, a crucial entry point into Jammu and Kashmir.
Puri assured the public that issues raised during the camp would be addressed promptly and efficiently.
Responding to different queries flagged by people, Deputy Commissioner, Dr.Rakesh Minhas, informed the public that all their issues are noted by officers which would be redressed in a phased manner.
On the occasion, DDC Nagri Sandeep Majotra, raised several issues of public importance.
Former Sarpanchs and several social activists of different panchayats presented concerns regarding the slow pace of JJM works, the dilapidated condition of the link road, monkey and drug menace and Ration Card bifurcation.
Among others, ADDC, SDM Hiranagar, CPO, ACD, XEN Jal Shakti, XEN PDD, XEN PWD, XEN Irrigation, XEN REW, DFO Kathua, CDPO Barnoti were also present.
