Jammu University will act as Role Model for Other Universities in Country: Gaurav

JAMMU, Aug 13: Gaurav Gupta, Secretary Jammu Club and former General Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, today appreciated Prof. Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor of the University of Jammu, for the institution's remarkable achievement in the latest National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) released by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The University of Jammu has proudly secured the 50th position among the best universities in India, marking a significant leap of 13 places from its previous rank of 63. This notable improvement underscores the University's commitment to excellence in education.
Prof. Rai expressed gratitude towards Gaurav Gupta for acknowledging this milestone. He attributed the success to the visionary leadership and steadfast support of the Chancellor of the University of Jammu, Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha. Prof. Rai highlighted that reaching the 50th rank for the first time reflects the collective hard work and dedication of the entire university community. He emphasized that this achievement not only honors the University but also unlocks new opportunities through special privileges under various government and UGC schemes.
"This accomplishment makes us immensely proud and serves as a testament to our ongoing dedication to continuous improvement and innovation in higher education," Prof. Rai stated. "Our 'Design Your Degree' concept is emerging as a model for universities across the country."
Additionally, Prof. Rai mentioned that the University has introduced new skilled development programs in cutting-edge fields like Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT, further enhancing its educational offerings and aligning with the latest technological advancements.
Gaurav Gupta lauded Prof. Rai for the outstanding progress of the University and in establishing its benchmark for academic excellence. He emphasized that the University's remarkable achievement not only signifies its growing reputation but also reflects its commitment to providing top-quality education. He expressed confidence that Jammu University will continue to lead by example and inspire other institutions across India. He believes that the University's innovative approach and academic rigor will set new standards in higher education, making it a prominent role model for universities nationwide, particularly in the 'Design Your Degree' concept.
Gaurav Gupta also appealed to the students of the University of Jammu to work hard and contribute to the institution's continued success, reinforcing the idea that their collective effort is key to sustaining and enhancing the University's prestigious status.
