Thannamandi, Aug 13: While joining the nation in combating the drug abuse, the Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with NSS and NCC Units, and Departments of Botany and Zoology of Government Degree College (GDC) Thannamandi participated in the Country Wide Mass pledge on Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan and conducted Plantation Drive here today.
The entire college including students, teaching and non-teaching staff members participated through video conferencing in Country Wide Mass pledge on Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Farooq Ahmed, Principal of College. The programme was followed by Anti-Drug Human Chain and plantation drive under the theme Viksit Bharat ka mantra, Bharat ho nashe se swatantra in which each faculty member and NSS/Red Ribbon Club Volunteer/ NCC cadet planted a sapling dedicated to Nasha Mukh Bharat Abhiyan.
