Government Polytechnic Jammu organize a series of activities under Swachhta Pakhwada

JAMMU, Aug 14: The NSS and NCC wing of Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk Jammu organize a series of activities under "Swachhta Pakhwada" w. e. f 1st of August 2024. The programme started with Swachhta Pledge ceremony under the guidance of Principal Er Arun Bangotra Government Polytechnic Jammu in which 160 students and staff members took the pledge. During this Swachhta Pakhwada, this institution organised activities like cleanliness drive, debate, painting, rangoli-making, essay writing and quiz competition. The NCC and NSS wing also organized a plantation drive in collaboration with Forest department under the theme "Ek Ped Shahidon ke Naam" & "Ek Ped Maa ke Naam" in which 60 students along with HODs and staff planted medicinal plants.
A Tiranga Rally was held today displaying patriotism and unity, was flagged off by Principal Er Arun Bangotra Government Polytechnic Jammu in which 140 students along with staff participated with great enthusiasm, carrying the National Flag and spreading a message of Nation Pride and solidarity. On the theme of "Selfie with Tiranga" all the staff members and students of the institution took a selfie and post it on their social media handles, to spread and reflect their spirit of patriotism. The organizing committee comprised of Sukhdeep Singh HOD Civil Engg and Rishab Sharma I/c NCC for Plantation drive, Ajay Thapa and Sanam Gupta for Waste Management & Circular Economy Awareness Campaign, Dhiraj Kumar I/c NSS and Toshi Devi PET for Tiranga Yatra, Chamel Singh PEM for Tiranga Rally and Selfie with Tiranga Campaign. A certification distribution function were also organized today to appreciate the efforts of all the participants in various events. Other present on this occasion were Rani Devi HOD IT, Raj Shekhar HOD Automobile Engg, Jasdeep Kour HOD I&C, Raj Kumar HOD Mechanical Engg, Sanjay Koul HOD Computer Engg, Sakshi Kapahi, Lect-I I&C, Manu Rajput Demonstrator Arch. Asstt., Himanshu Bakshi Demonstrator, Vicky Sharma Electrical Engineering, Himani Dubey Arch. Asstt., Viney Kumar, Surekha Rani, Sanjogeta Mehra, Kanta Baloria, Ritu Manhas Instructors, other staff members and students of this institution.
