GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur celebrates 78th National Independence Day

UDHAMPUR, Aug 16: GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur organized 78th National Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The event started with hoisting of National Flag by the esteemed Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Seema Arora followed by singing of the National Anthem by the staff as well as the students of the college. The event was joined by audience from local community also. Cultural Activities were also a part of the event in which the students showcased their talents through dance, music and drama performances that highlighted the rich cultural heritage of the nation. The event also included singing of patriotic song by the students, leaving a sense of unity and pride in the hearts of all the participants.
On the occasion, the Principal of the college expressed her pride in college's vibrant and united efforts. She said that "this momentous occasion marks the bravery and sacrifices of our freedom fighters who fought tirelessly for our nation's sovereignty. We celebrate not only our freedom but also the responsibility we hold towards our nation. Let's celebrate with pride, honouring the sacrifices of our ancestors and unite as a nation to create a better tomorrow." She congratulated the staff as well as the students of the college for organizing such an event as it showcased a vibrant display of Unity, culture and reverence of Nation's history. The staff of the college also delivered speeches; on the importance of patriotism, social responsibility and the role of the youth in shaping the future of the nation The event concluded with felicitation ceremony with the awarding of appreciation certificates to the winning participants who excelled in various inter college competitions as well as the establishment staff who work round the clock behind the scene. Later all the participants were served with light refreshments.
