JAMMU, Aug 16: S.D Tara Puri Public High School celebrated India's 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, marking the nation's freedom from two centuries of British rule. The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem, filling the air with patriotism and pride.
The event featured a series of cultural performances that highlighted the rich heritage and diversity of the country. Students from various classes participated in dances, skits, and musical renditions, all centered around the theme of independence and freedom.
Members of the school management committee were present to witness the celebration. Secretary of the School Management Committee, Sh. N.D Sharma, praised the students for their dedication and love for the motherland. He emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and encouraged the students to contribute positively to the nation.
Vice Principal Khema Padha also addressed the gathering, expressing her happiness at the students' enthusiasm and eagerness to participate in the celebrations. She shared words of wisdom, urging students to uphold the values of freedom, unity, and respect for the nation.
