Rotary Club Stars organise Shanti Yagya on Independence Day

JAMMU, Aug 16: Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Jammu-Kashmir, under the esteemed leadership of President NarenderTrehan along with the members of Rotary Club Jammu Stars observed India's 78th Independence Day with a series of meaningful and patriotic activities. The celebration took place at the Arya Samaj Mandir in Gandhi Nagar
The event commenced with a traditional *Havan Yagna*, where devotees gathered to offer prayers for the nation's well-being and prosperity. Participants prayed not only for the nation but also for global peace and harmony, invoking blessings for the continued strength and unity of India.
Following the Havan, the *flag hoisting ceremony* was conducted wherein Corporator Jaideep Ji with Rtn.Meena jaggi President Rotary Stars and team did the honors. The flag was raised high, symbolizing the nation's hard-earned freedom and the collective resolve to uphold the values of democracy, liberty, and justice.
In a gesture of commitment to environmental sustainability, the Sabha and Rotary Club Jammu Stars organized a *tree plantation drive Participants of all ages took part in planting saplings around the premises of the Arya Samaj Mandir. This activity not only underscored the importance of environmental conservation but also served as a reminder of our responsibility to future generations. The act of planting trees was a symbolic way to contribute to the nation. The celebrations continued with a session of *patriotic songs and bhajans* Melodious tunes and heartfelt lyrics filled the air, evoking a strong sense of national pride. The bhajans, sung in unison, were a tribute to the country's rich cultural heritage and served as a medium to express gratitude for the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.
A particularly poignant moment of the event was a special prayer session dedicated to the souls of those who had recently lost their lives in Bangladesh. The gathering collectively prayed for the eternal peace of the martyrs and for strength and comfort for their bereaved families. This prayer session was a powerful reminder of the ongoing struggles for justice and peace, and it underscored the importance of solidarity in times of crisis.
The day's events concluded with the *distribution of Prasad* to all attendees. The Prasad, symbolizing the blessings of the divine, was shared among the participants, bringing a sense of fulfillment and communal harmony.
The Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Jammu and Kashmir extends its heartfelt gratitude to all who attended and contributed to the success of this event. The Sabha remains dedicated to fostering unity, peace, and patriotism within the community, and will continue to organize such events .Among the prominent citizens present were Rtn. RAJNI SEHGAL ,Social activist Rtn. Sangeeta Puri Dr.Sakshi, Rtn Daljit Kaur and Rtn. Sanjay Ghai.
