CVPPL celebrates Independence Day

JAMMU, Aug 16: CVPPL celebrated the 78th Independence Day on 15th August 2024 with great pride and patriotic fervour. Sh. Ramesh Mukhiya, Managing Director hoisted the National Flag at Corporate Office, Jammu with guard of honour and salutation to the National Anthem. He congratulated all the employees, Security Personnel and present Staffs.
MD (CVPPL) on his opening address paid tributes to the freedom fighters and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Nation's Independence. He highlighted the significance of freedom and asked everyone to commit themselves for the splendid work of nation building.
In his speech he thanked everyone engaged for the excellent progress achieved in completing the ongoing Pakal Dul, Kiru and Kwar Hydroelectric Projects in Kishtwar district and for the support being extended by the UT of J&K. It was highlighted that these projects were of National importance and extremely important for carbon emission reduction to combat climate change.
On this occasion the employees, their family and children performed for the cultural program with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The celebration concluded with singing of National Anthem and distribution of sweets, symbolising the joy and sweetness of freedom.
Independence day celebrations were also held at Pakal Dul, Kiru, Kwar and Kirthai-II HE Projects at Kishtwar.
