JKP's Band Contingent Pipe Band, Brass Band secured first two positions

SRINAGAR, Aug 16: On the occasion of 78th Independence Day Parade at Bakhshi Stadium Srinagar, Jammu Kashmir Police's Band contingents and JKPPS Parade and Band contingent secured top positions in different categories among all participants. In Jammu I-Day celebration IRP Lady contingent, JKP Pipe Band, JKPPS contingents also got top positions in respective categories. In all forces band category J&K Pipe Band secured top position during the Parade while Brass Band secured second position. Jammu and Kashmir Police Pipe Band was led by Head Constable Mohammad Yaqoob while Brass Band by ASI Rajender Kumar. In the Schools category Jammu and Kashmir Police Public School Bemina Srinagar secured 2nd position each in Parade as well as in band category among all schools.
At Independence Day celebration in Jammu , IRP lady contingent and JKP Pipe Band both secured 2nd position in their respective categories while JKPPS Miran Shab Band secured first positions and it's girls contingent got 2nd position in march past category.
The Director General of Police J&K, Shri R.R. Swain congratulated the Band contingents and JKPPS for receiving the honour. He also complimented other contingents of JKP who participated in the Parade and advised them to continue work more harder to be best among all.
