| KVK celebrates 78th Independence Day | | |

Jammu, Aug 16: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi under the administrative control of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu (SKUAST-J) celebrated 78th Independence Day here today at KVK, Reasi campus with great fervor, zeal and spirit which was enthusiastically attended by a number of farmers of the area.
The programme was organised under the dynamic stewardship of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. B.N. Tripathi and able guidance of Director Extension, Prof.Amrish Vaid of SKUAST-Jammu. The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Scientist & Head of KVK, Reasi,Dr.Banarsi Lal. While welcoming the participants he spoke on the significance of the event.
He congratulated the participants on the eve of 78th Independence Day and recalled the supreme sacrifices made by the freedom fighters to secure independence for the country.
He alongwith other participants hoisted the tri-colour. He appreciated the communal harmony among the people of the area and urged them to maintain the brotherhood and peace. |
