The campaign kicked off with a Poster Making Competition held on International Youth Day, themed "From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development."
The event was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Seema Arora, Principal of GDC Neeli Nallah. The primary objective of the program was to educate students about the dangers of HIV/AIDS and to inspire them to contribute to the global fight against the disease.
A total of 15 students participated in the competition, showcasing their creativity and artistic skills through posters that conveyed powerful messages about community leadership in combating this fatal disease. She highlighted the causes and consequences of the disease and urged students to actively participate in spreading knowledge about AIDS, not only within their communities but also on a larger scale. The Principal expressed her appreciation for the participants' efforts and congratulated them on their impactful contributions.
Dr. Sunil Tanoch, Head of the Department of Sociology, served as the Convener of the event. The program also saw the presence of Dr. Maansi Sharma, Prof. Rekha Sharma, Prof. Shaista Yasmeen, and Mr. Rajeshwar Singh Jamwal, who supported and encouraged the participants.
