| GCW Parade celebrates Annual day | | |

Annual Day cum Prize Distribution function of Government College for Women (GCW) Parade was held at college hall, here today.
Commisoner Secretary Higher Education NK Verma was the chief guest while Director Colleges, N D Wani, was the guest of honor on the occasion .Principals from other city colleges and former Principals of the college were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, programme began with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, which was followed by welcome address by Prof. Savitri sharma, Principal of the college.
She listed the proud distinguished performance of the students in academic, sports, literary and other activities.
An impressive cultural programme was also held on the function. The performance of the students participating in the function enthralls the whole audience and was also well applauded by the dignitaries present there.
He also distributed prizes, trophies and certificates among the students who excelled in different spheres of activities during the session.
Best all rounder trophy was awarded to Ifra Mushtaq while Heena Malhotra bagged award for Best over all performances at National Level. Sheya Jian bagged best award in allocation, Vani Awasthi bagged best award for Best compeering in English , Heena Malhotra again bagged Best all rounder trophy in NSS while Irfa Mushtaq bagged best student award for mono acting and Ashima Mahajan got the best top story writing award.
Those students who have made secured positions were also honored. Miss Manpreet Kaur bagged the best students in sports .
Girl students also made outstanding performance in NCC , NSS and other fields like literary activities. They also made mark in Display Your Talent organised by the University of Jammu.
The compeering of the programe was done by the Irfa Mushataq, Pooja Langeh and Vani Awasthi.
