J&K clinched victory in final of National Tapeball Cricket Championship, defeats Haryana by 23 runs

ROHTAK, Aug 19: The two-day 1st National Tapeball Cricket Championship, organized by the Haryana Tapeball Cricket Association under the aegis of the Tapeball Cricket Council of India, concluded today at the Red Ball Cricket Ground, Rohtak. Over 100 players from the top 8 teams across the country participated in the championship.
Nirangen Baniwal, XEN Horticulture of M.D. University, graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest, with Uday Singh Phogat as the Guest of Honor. Chief guest praised the young talent and lauded the Tapeball Cricket Council of India and the Haryana Tapeball Cricket Association for their commitment to channeling the energy of youth in a positive direction for the nation's benefit.
In the final match of the championship, the J&K team set a target of 65 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 8 overs. Haryana's response fell short as they scored 41 runs for the loss of 6 wickets, leading to a 23-run defeat. J&K emerged victorious, securing the championship title.
Noushad Ahmad was named Man of the Match for his excellent performance.
The matches were officiated by Ranjeet Singh, Aman, and Binu. During the prize distribution ceremony, both the winner and runner-up teams were awarded trophies, medals, and cash prizes of Rs 3,100 and Rs 2,100, respectively.
Ashok Singh Jamwal hosted the ceremony with his melodious voice.
Other dignitaries at the event included Munishwar Singh, Raman Sharma, Sunny Nanda state secretary J&K sports speed ball association, K.L. Rathore, Mukund, O. Kumar Singh, Anil Dahiya, Nitin Rathore, as well as players and parents of the local teams.
