| 100 questioned in JU shootout case | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, March, 21: At least 100 youths and others were rounded up and summoned for questioning in connection with Jammu University shoot out case even as Police were expecting to arrest the main accused tonight.
Hundred persons were lifted for questioning to arrest the four accused who fired in the Jammu University’s Vice Chancellor’s chamber yesterday and escaped from the spot and out of hundred thirty persons were let free after questioning and interrogation of seventy persons are still going on to find the hideout of the accused. These persons were family members, relatives and friends of the four accused. Police have also been conducting raids in different areas of the Jammu City since the occurrence of the incident. Giving information a police source said that as per reports the four are hiding in the Jammu city and hundreds of raids have been conducted in different areas. Police on the tip off conducted a raid to arrest one of the accused Vinay Sharma in the late hours till last reports came in. |
