Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 20: In a heartwarming and deeply patriotic gesture, the staff of DPS Schools in Katra, Nagbani, and Jammu, under the visionary guidance of Kunwrani Ritu Singh, paid a special visit to the Military Hospital Satwari to celebrate the auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan with the brave soldiers receiving treatment there.
This unique initiative was driven by Kunwrani Ritu Singh's unwavering commitment to fostering a sense of national pride and gratitude towards the armed forces. Recognizing the invaluable sacrifices made by our soldiers, she envisioned a celebration that not only honors the tradition of Raksha Bandhan but also brings comfort and joy to the heroes who stand guard for the nation.
During the event, the staff members under the guidance of Kunwrani Ritu Singh tied Rakhis to over 300 patients, symbolizing the sacred bond of protection and brotherhood. The ceremony was made even more poignant with the application of Tilak on the soldiers' foreheads, followed by the distribution of sweets, spreading cheer and goodwill. The atmosphere was imbued with spirituality and serenity as a Pandit Ji performed the live chanting of the Mahamrityunjaya Japa, invoking blessings for the soldiers' health and well-being.
Kunwrani Ritu Singh connected with the program virtually and extended her heartfelt Raksha Bandhan wishes to the sick army personnel. She offered prayers for their speedy recovery, reiterating her respect and admiration for their courage and resilience. Her virtual presence was a source of immense encouragement and strength for all those present, reflecting her deep-seated values of compassion and service.
Speaking on the occasion, Kunwrani Ritu Singh emphasized the importance of standing by our soldiers not only on the battlefield but also in their moments of need. "Raksha Bandhan is a celebration of the bond of protection and love. Our soldiers protect our nation with unwavering dedication, and it is our duty to protect them with our prayers and support. I am deeply moved by the dedication of the DPS staff who have made this day memorable for our brave soldiers," she said.
