JAMMU, Aug 20: JKSPYM State Level Coordinating Agency (SLCA J&K) organised one-day awareness program on "Drug Abuse and Preventive Measures" for school students of Govt. High School, Subhash Nagar in collaboration with the NISD, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MOSJE), Government of India (GOI). Around 61 students participated in the awareness program. Program started with the introduction of SLCA and NMBA by Kimi Padhiar, SLCA official. Program was divided into three sessions. Resource persons educated the students about psychoactive substances, categories of substances and their short and long effects on the body in brief. Program was interactive and students enthusiastically participated in activities and sessions. At the end of the program, quiz competition was organized for the students on "Drug Abuse Prevention" and winners were facilitated at the end of the program and also refreshment was distributed among students. Program concluded with the vote of thanks by Deepak Bhati from SLCA J&K. |
