GDC Khour hosts SVEEP rally to promote voter education

KHOUR, Aug 21: In a spirited initiative under the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program, NCC Cadets and NSS volunteers from GDC Khour organized a rally to promote voter education and electoral participation. The event saw enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, BLO's Supervisors and SVEEP team, who were joined by the esteemed Principal of the college, Prof. Dr. T.K. Sharma, along with faculty members.
The rally began from the college's main gate, where Principal (Nodal Officer SVEEP, AC-82 Chhamb) Prof. Dr. T. K Sharma delivered an inspiring address. He underscored the importance of voting as both a right and a responsibility, highlighting how voting is essential for shaping the future of society. Prof. Dr. T. K Sharma urged students to actively participate in elections and to exercise their voting rights.
Participants carried placards and banners with impactful messages about the significance of voting and chanted slogans such as "Matdaan Humara Adikaar Hai, Banti Esse Se Sarkar Hai; Ghar Ghar Shaksharta Ley Jaayegay, Matdaata Jaagruk Banaayegay." These messages were aimed at encouraging Khour residents to contribute in the democratic process.
The rally was coordinated by Lt. Shivani Sharma (ANO Boys Senior Division), along with Prof. Anil Kumar Dogra (HoD Botany) & Prof. Sunil Kumar (PTI) under the guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. T.K. Sharma.
