Senior Citizens Club celebrates Raising Day with Grandeur

UDHAMPUR, Aug 21: The Senior Citizens Club Udhampur celebrated its 5th Raising Day with great enthusiasm and honor. The event was distinguished by the presence of Padma Shri Romaloo Ram Ji as chief guest, Roshan Ji as Special Guest, and renowned Dogra artist Sars Bharti as guest of honor, each recognized for their significant contributions. The celebration was further enhanced by a vibrant cultural performance from the students of Brahamrishi Bawra School, who captivated the audience with their colorful and energetic acts. Since its establishment five years ago, the Club has become a cornerstone of social engagement in the community, organizing a wide range of events and gatherings. A key highlight of the event was the launch of the Club's annual magazine, Aashayen, a comprehensive compendium of the year's activities. Among Co-members, Executive body of the Club, Advisory Board, editorial board other dignitaries honored on the occasion included, Parkash Premi, Sahitya Akadmy Awardee, Sh. JD Slathia, President of the Bar Association Udhampur; Sanjeet Bavoria, Resource Person DALSA; Bikram Slathia President of Bar Hotel & Restaurants", Jatinder Barmani, President Beopar Mandal, Bikram Gulati, Chairman, Happy Model School, Sudesh Khajuria Presiden Badminton Association, Advocate Bharat Bhushan, Sanjay Sharma, PEM, Sunil Gupta, Social activist, Ajit Singh and others. S/Sh. Sanmati Gupta and Vidya Sagar ex-DySP's and social activist Sh. Ashok Koul joined the club on the occasion.
