In a disturbing incident in Poonch district a rabid dog attacked 12 individuals, including school children and women, leaving them injured and raising serious concerns about public safety. This alarming event is not an isolated case but rather a reflection of a growing problem across the entire Jammu region.
The surge in the population of rabid dogs poses a significant threat to residents, demanding immediate and effective measures to address this crisis.
The recent attack in Poonch highlights the urgency of addressing the rabid dog population, which has been increasing across Jammu. This rise not only endangers human lives but also places a substantial burden on local healthcare systems, which must manage the immediate and often costly treatment of rabies exposure.
