JAMMU, Aug 22: In a relentless pursuit against drug peddlers, Jammu Police, under the operation "Sanjeevani," made a significant recovery on 21-08-2024, apprehending one Gulzar Hussain S/0 Hassan Din R/0 Baghyal Dhara , District Poonch.He was found in possession of approximately 1 kg 230 grams of Heroine like substance.
The diligent efforts of the police team led by SHO Police Station Bahu fort and Incharge Police Post Narwal culminated in the arrest of the accused in the Narwal area. The recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO East and SP South.
In this connection,a case FIR No. 200/2024 U/S 8/21/22 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort, the commercial recovery has been a decisive step towards curbing the drug trade in the area which has a few drug hotspots in the surroundings.
Jammu Police urges all citizens to remain vigilant against the scourge of drugs and requests to report any suspicious activities related to narcotics trade promptly. The confidentiality of informants will be strictly maintained, ensuring their safety and security.
