POONCH, Aug 23: Under the overall supervision of SS Poonch Sh. Mumtaz Mir JKPS, Poonch Police tightening its noose against bovine smugglers, a police team headed by IC PP Behramgala under the supervision of SHO Surankote, during day hours have foiled bovine smuggling bid in which 05 bovines were rescued, arrested the bovine smuggler and 01 vehicle seized, Tata mobile bearing registration number JK12A/6787 loaded with 05 bovines being driven by Mohd Sami S/o Manzoor Hussain Bashir R/o Arif teh. Mendher distt. Poonch for routine checking which were being transported illegally to Srinagar without any valid permission.
In this regard FIR No. 203/2024 U/S 223 BNS has been registered in Police Station Surankote. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
