| Police arrested hardcore criminal with pistol, five live rounds | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, Aug 23: Police has arrested a hardcore criminal in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba and recovered one pistol and five live cartridges from his possession.
A Police party of Police Post Rakh Amb Talli under DySP Hqrs and SHO PS Samba headed by Incharge PP Rakh Amb Talli during special naka at Chak Dayala near Basantar bridge, intercepted a person who was moving in the area in suspicious circumstances. During frisking, one pistol and five live rounds have been recovered for his possession.
The accused identified as Mohd Latief @ Latief Punjabi S/o Bashir Ahmed R/o Malpur tehsil Garh Shankar district Hoshiarpur (Punjab) A/P Chak Dayala, Samba has been arrested and a pistol alongwith live cartridges have been seized.
A case FIR No. 216/2024 u/s 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and further investigation is going on.
The arrested accused is a infamous hardcore criminal and is involved in multiple cases of attempt to murder, theft, rioting and abetment and Arms Act cases registered against him in District Samba (J&K) and Punjab state. |
