R.M. Public School Celebrates Janmashtami with Enthusiasm and Devotion

Jammu, Aug 23: R.M. Public School (RMPS) celebrated Janmashtami with great zeal and enthusiasm, marking the birth of Lord Krishna. The event was a vibrant display of cultural and spiritual devotion, reflecting the school's commitment to nurturing the values of Indian culture and spirituality among its students.
The celebration began with a warm welcome and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of wisdom and knowledge. Esteemed guests were honored with tokens of gratitude, setting the tone for a day filled with reverence and festivity.
The cultural program was a highlight of the event, featuring a series of performances that brought to life the teachings and stories of Lord Krishna. The students of Classes 10th and 11th showcased their skills in the traditional Dahi Handi event, while the younger students of Class 6th performed an opening dance that captivated the audience. Class 7th students presented a skit on Bhagwan Shri Krishna, portraying key moments from His life, and Manvi from Class 9th added depth to the celebration with her well-conceived concept presentation.
A special guest, Mr. Manohar Gupta, Chief Engineer (Generation) of Jammu, who has dedicated over 36 years of service in the Electrical Department, graced the occasion with his presence and delivered an inspiring speech. ASI Mr. Rajesh Jamwal was also thanked for his participation in the event.
Worthy Chairman, Mr. Rameshwar Mengi, shared words of wisdom, emphasizing the importance of living a life guided by truth and righteousness, principles that Lord Krishna exemplified throughout His life. His message resonated with all, reinforcing the spiritual significance of the celebration.
The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to all the hardworking participants and the winners of the Dahi Handi competition, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The celebration left a lasting impact on all attendees, not just as an event but as a journey into the spiritual and cultural richness of India's traditions.
Respected Director Mr. Rakshan Mengi, Elegant Vice Principal Dr. Harvinder Kaur, and Administrator Mr. Surinder Singh expressed their appreciation for the enthusiasm and participation of the students and staff. They noted that the event was a memorable occasion, deeply rooted in the values that RMPS strives to instill in its students.
