GDC Udhampur hosts slogan writing competition | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Aug 27: In a vibrant display of creativity and civic engagement, Committee for SVEEP activities of Government Degree College (GDC) Udhampur successfully organized a Slogan Writing Competition under the theme "Awareness Regarding the Right to Vote". The programme was organized under the able guidance of Dr. Sanjay Verma, Principal GDC Udhampur. The event, which saw the enthusiastic participation of 13 talented students, aimed to foster a deeper understanding of the importance of voting among the youth. The competition provided a platform for students to express their views on the significance of electoral participation through the medium of slogan writing. Participants were encouraged to create impactful and thought-provoking slogans that would inspire their peers to exercise their democratic right. A distinguished jury comprised of Dr. Anita Sharma, Assistant Professor of Physics and Prof. Monika, HOD History evaluated the entries based on originality, relevance, and the ability to convey a strong message. The first, second and third position was bagged by Abhishek Kumar of 5th semester, Gagandeep Singh of 5th Semester and Abhimanyu Singh of 3rd semester respectively. The event was a resounding success, with the slogans capturing the essence of the theme and showcasing the participants' commitment to promoting voter awareness. The proceedings of the programme were co-ordinated by Dr. Shaveta Sharma, HOD Political Science. |
