| Give up playing politics over dead bodies of innocent people, NC cautions PDP | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 22- Asserting that National Conference led coalition government believes in action rather than making castles in air with hollow slogans, NC legislators and leaders today hailed the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his bold stand and historical decision of punishing the accused responsible for Bumai and Pulwama killings. In a joint statement issued here today the National Conference legislators complimented NC led coalition government for the bold decisions of instituting time bound inquires and punishments for those responsible in recent civilian killings. “National Conference is committed to eliminate the menace of human right abuses and the government does not need any lesson from those who are themselves perpetrators of violence and responsible for the present turmoil in the state” the NC leaders said. Reiterating the stand of the party to transform the destiny of the state in next six years, the NC legislators said that the tough posture of the state government over the recent civilian killing is a befitting reply to those who are making statements every now and then alleging and questioning the determination of the NC led Coalition government. “Present coalition government is committed to bring down the level of human rights violations in the State,” the statement said adding, “if there is any violation or any innocent is killed, an exemplary punishment would be given like in recently Bumai and Pulwama killings”. Coming down heavily upon the PDP for its planned misinformation campaign launched against the National Conference, the NC leaders said “We understand the frustration of PDP leaders they are undergoing after the Chief minister Omar Abdullah surprised all by ordering time bound inquires and immediate action in recent killings”, the party legislators said, adding, that Chief minister Omar Abdullah believes much in action rather than statements and slogans. Accusing Mufti Muhammad Sayeed and his band of PDP leaders of playing politics over the dead bodies of innocent people, the NC leaders said that he (PDP Patron) in a recent statement alleged that NC led coalition government can do nothing and the next day, after a tough action was taken against the Bomai accused, he welcomed the action. “NC always believes in truth and never played politics over the dead bodies as PDP is playing” the legislators said adding “He (Mufti) was solely responsible for bringing Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) in the state when he was Union Home Minister”. Why the PDP leader did not talk about withdrawal of troops when he was in power, questioned the NC leaders and said that the promises they (PDP) made with the people of the state were never fulfilled and now man of action has arrived who will transform the state into a glorious destiny for the people and bring peace harmony and development to entire Jammu and Kashmir. "We suggest that they (muftis) should not indulge in such politics but instead they should work with the government so as to bring out the state out of morass for which none other than their own party is responsible ". “There has always been difference between ‘Kathni And Karni’ (saying and doing) of Mufti Muhammad Sayed”, the party Legislators said adding, “the slogans of healing touch, peace with dignity, corruption free government raised by the PDP during 2002 elections vanished in air soon after PDP assumed power in the state and during the entire period of its rule, Muftis never talked about the revocation of Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) and withdrawal of troops”.
