Security Review Meeting for Upcoming Kailash Kund Yatra in Udhampur

Udhampur, Aug 27: In preparation for the upcoming Kailash Kund Yatra, which will commence from Baba Basuki Nag Temple in Dudu on August 30, 2024, Sh. Rayees Mohammad Bhat, IPS, DIG of Police, Udhampur-Reasi Range, convened a comprehensive security review meeting. The yatra, which is expected to draw a large number of pilgrims, will proceed to Kailash Kund via Seoj Dhar.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including the SSP Udhampur, CO 137th Bn & 187th Bn CRPF, Addl. SP Udhampur, SP Operation Dudu, 2nd IC 137th & 187th Bn CRPF, Dy. SP Hqrs. Udhampur, SDPO Chenani, Dy. SP DAR Udhampur, and Dy. SP Ops. Latti, Basantgarh & Udhampur.
During the meeting, DIG Bhat emphasized the crucial need for coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of the pilgrims. He underscored the importance of meticulous planning and execution of security measures to address potential threats, considering the challenging hilly terrain and recent security concerns.

Traffic Management
Medical and Emergency Services
Infrastructure and Logistics
DIG Bhat stressed the need for maintaining high vigilance and preparedness throughout the yatra. He instructed officers to conduct advance area domination, review sessions, briefings, and drills to ensure effective implementation of plans for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the yatra.
