Weekly Plantation Drive at Hari Ki Pauri, Bahu Fort by Vishwa Yog Sansthan

Jammu, Aug 27: The Vishwa Yog Sansthan, a prominent organization in the City of Temples, Jammu, is making remarkable strides towards environmental conservation and public health through its weekly plantation drive. Held every Tuesday at Hari Ki Pauri, Bahu Fort, this initiative aims to transform the region into a greener and healthier environment for all.
The plantation drive, which focuses on planting a variety of beneficial trees, is part of the Sansthan’s ambitious goal to plant one lakh trees in and around Jammu. The drive has gained significant attention for its contribution to environmental preservation and community well-being.
This week’s event was graced by a distinguished chief guest Janak raj thapa (Addl. DG GSI retd.) and R. L. Bhagat (Joint Director Agri retd. ) They were warmly welcomed by former corporators m Bassan Ji (Ward No. 48) and Bansi Lal Gupta Ji. The chief guest, alongside the volunteers, participated in the plantation activities, reinforcing the importance of such initiatives in combating climate change.
Addressing the volunteers, Yog Guru Karan Ji, a leading figure in the Sansthan, highlighted the collective responsibility of the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir to make their surroundings cleaner and greener. He called upon the residents of Jammu to join the plantation drive, stressing that afforestation is crucial in reversing the adverse effects of climate change.
The event began with a yoga session, fostering physical and mental well-being among participants before they embarked on the plantation activities. Vishwa Yog Sansthan, known for its commitment to holistic health, also offers free morning and evening yoga sessions, further encouraging the community to adopt a healthier lifestyle. The plantation drive at Hari Ki Pauri continues to draw support from all sections of society, as more people come forward to contribute to this noble cause. The Sansthan remains dedicated to its vision of a greener, healthier Jammu, setting an example for others to follow.
