UDHAMPUR, Aug 28: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, today chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee under the Narco Coordination NCORD mechanism to review and strengthen the measures in place to combat drug abuse in the district. The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police, Amod Ashok Nagpure, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Prem Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr. Umesh Shan, Assistant Commissioner Development, Dr Ranjeet Singh Kotwal along with other senior officers from various line departments. A threadbare discussion was held on surveillance of educational institutions, the implementation of awareness programmes, Nasha Mukt Panchayats and identification of hotspots of drug abuse. Detailed deliberations were held on the measures currently being undertaken within the district. |
