Samba, Aug 29: Basantar Eco-Club and Department of Botany of Shri Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Govt. Degree College Samba organized an event on Amrit Prakriti Vandan Mahotsav under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri on 29th August, 2024 in the college premises.
This day is celebrated to pay tribute to the plants which are the source of life on Mother Earth. To celebrate the day, yellow rice and yellow flowers were offered to the trees and defense thread was tied around the trees.The shlokas related to Prakriti Vandan were recited by Prof. Narayan Dutt Sharma, HoD Physics.The event was enthusiastically attended by the Eco club members, Students and other faculty members. |
