Udhampur Mar 22- A free Intra-Ocular Lens (ICL) surgery camp organized by District Blindness Society in collaboration with Rotary Eye hospital was inaugurated by Ajay Khajuria Deputy Commissioner today
Giving details the Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Chander Parkash said that the Eye surgical camp is jointly being organized by District Blindness Society in collaboration with Rotary Eye hospital.
He said that a team of eye surgeons checked up patients. Thirty seven patients who had already been examined few days back were operated upon during the camp. Free boarding, lodging, medicines and other allied facilities were provided to the indoor patients by society.. He said the blindness society is going to organize such camps in rural areas for needy people suffering with cataract problem in near future
