Swearing-in ceremony solemnised at Jodhamal Public School

JAMMU, Aug 30: In a solemn and momentous occasion, Jodhamal Public School, Jammu, hosted the investiture ceremony to officially induct the School's Students' Council. The ceremony was honored by the presence of the distinguished chief guest, Garib Dass, IPS, Director of SK Police Academy, Udhampur, J&K, and attended by the proud parents of the newly appointed Prefect Council, whose faces radiated pride and joy. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the sacred lamp, accompanied by the resonant chants of the Gayatri Mantra, followed by a captivating Tarana performance by the school children, invoking divine blessings. As a gesture of respect and gratitude, the school presented a sapling to the chief guest, Garib Dass Kaith.
During the swearing-in ceremony, the newly elected Prefects ascended the stage, their faces alight with pride and determination. The sight of the girls holding the school and house flags was truly inspiring, embodying both grace and resolve. As they made their way to the stage, the comperes read their citations, and they were ceremonially adorned with badges and sashes by the Chief Guest. In total, 41 students were entrusted with various leadership roles and responsibilities.
The Principal, Girish Kumar, administered the oath of office to the Prefects with dignity and decorum, and encouraged them to embrace leadership with the spirit of "knowing the way, going the way, and showing the way." The Head Boy and Head Girl delivered their speeches, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the School for entrusting them with this responsibility, and pledged to fulfill the expectations placed upon them. Addressing the gathering, the chief guest shared his valuable insights on leadership, integrity, and the importance of making sound choices in life. He urged the children to develop professionalism and excellence along scientific lines, encouraging everyone to contribute positively. The event was also attended by Nandan Kuthiala, Trustee; Arati Kuthiala, Director; and Amita Arora, Vice Principal; Neetu Johri, Headmistress and all Area Coordinators.

The ceremony featured a special moment of recognition for Team Apex, a group of students who had represented the school in the Formula One (F1) in Schools National Championship and won the Championship, highlighting their dedication and achievements. Following this, all Council Members took a collective pledge to uphold the values of the school and strive for excellence in their endeavors, aiming to set a standard for others to follow. The event drew to a close with the singing of the National Anthem, fostering a profound sense of pride and unity among all attendees. Vote of Thanks was presented by the Vice Principal, Amita Arora, who expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries, parents, and participants for making the event a grand success.
