| Jammu Police raided on suspected Drug hot-spot in Rajeev Nagar | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 30: In a concerted effort to eradicate drug menace and take effective action against drug smugglers, the Jammu & Kashmir Police under Operation Sanjeevani in Sub Division East Jammu conducted a raid on a suspected drug *hotspot at Rajeev nagar, Marathi mohalla and Qasim nagar area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bahu fort and Bagh e bahu in order to eradicate the menace of drug peddling, smuggling & drug addiction from society.
Police teams led by the SP South Jammu, SDPO East along with concerned Shos and icpps participated in the anti-drug raid at the said place.
Intensive checking of pedestrians and vehicles was also carried and the drive will continue under operation Sanjeevani.
It is pertinent to mention here that a counselling session also conducted with the residents and young generation of both the areas to aware about the drug menace and their ill effects. |
