8/30/2024 10:42:18 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 30: At an age when most people are still figuring out their career paths, 25-year-old Tarun Sharma has already made a significant impact as one of Jammu’s youngest and most dedicated social workers. From the tender age of 18, Tarun has been serving the community by listening to the struggles of those in pain and finding ways to alleviate their suffering.
Driven by an unyielding passion for helping others, Tarun, along with his team, founded an NGO named "Ek Umeed Ek Zarurat" (One Hope, One Need). The NGO operates daily, setting up a helpdesk outside the Government Medical College in Jammu from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM, 365 days a year. This unwavering commitment ensures that those in desperate need of medical assistance, particularly those who cannot afford medicines, have somewhere to turn.
Tarun and his team focus on assisting people who are financially unable to buy essential medicines or obtain necessary medical treatments. Their selfless service has touched countless lives, offering both physical and emotional relief to the helpless and the sick.
“Many people can survive without a meal, but not without medicine,” says Tarun Sharma. He emphasizes the urgent need for those who are fortunate enough to have the resources to come forward and help those in need. His message is clear: the community must rally together to support those who are struggling, particularly in accessing medical care.
For anyone who requires medical help or wishes to contribute to this noble cause, Tarun Sharma and his team are always available to assist. Their work stands as a beacon of hope in the community, demonstrating that age is no barrier when it comes to making a difference in the world.
