| Gupta calls for timely measures to check growing infiltration | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 23- Expressing concern over ceasefire violations and infiltration of militants in Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP on Monday stressed the need for taking timely measures to check sneaking of trained ultras from across the border, who are planning to sabotage the coming Lok Sabha polls. "There is an urgent need for taking timely measures to check infiltration of trained ultras from across the Line of Control (LoC) and frustrate the designs of those who intend to aggravate problems in the troubled areas of the state and also disturb the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls," BJP legislature party leader Chaman Lal Gupta told reporters here today. On ceasefire violations in Uri and other sectors and killing of infiltrating militants in Kupwara district, Gupta said that there are reports that a large number of trained militants have gathered close to the LoC as also along the Jammu border. "Violations of ceasefire indicate that Pakistani troops want to play their old game of giving covering fire to the ultras for infiltrating to this side and smuggle weapons and explosives," he alleged. |
