DEO inspects RO Office Kangan-AC, reviews arrangements at DCRC

GANDERBAL, Aug 31: The District Election Officer (DEO) Ganderbal, Shyambir today conducted a thorough inspection of the Returning Officer (RO) office for 17-Kangan Assembly Constituency and Distribution cum Receipt Centre (DCRC), ensuring that all preparations are in place for the upcoming Assembly elections.
During the visit, the DEO emphasized the importance of strict adherence to the guidelines laid down by the Election Commission of India (ECI), particularly in relation to the Model Code of Conduct (MCC). He directed the officials at the RO office established in the office of SDM Kangan to ensure that every guideline is meticulously followed and that any violations shall be reported without delay.
He directed the SDM Kangan, Bilal Mukhtar who is also the RO for Kangan Assembly Constituency to ensure all arrangements like Signage, help desk and Control room are fully functional to ensure seamless nomination process in the sub-division.
The DEO maintained that the election process is paramount and is our responsibility to ensure that the process is conducted in a fair and transparent manner, with strict adherence to the rules set by the ECI. He said that any breach of the Model Code of Conduct will be dealt with seriously, and urged all officials to remain vigilant.
He also reviewed the arrangements made for the smooth functioning of the Distribution and Receipt Centre established within the Degree College Kangan, ensuring that all necessary resources are in place to facilitate a seamless election process.
The DEOs visit reflects the district administration's commitment to maintaining a high standard of electoral integrity and ensuring that the democratic process is upheld with the utmost transparency.
