Congress prioritized power over Nation, public welfare never remained its priority: Kavinder
8/31/2024 9:36:24 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 31: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta on Saturday lambasted Congress for corruption and misrule in Jammu and Kashmir from 1947 to 2014.
Chairing a number of public meetings here today, the stalwart leader of BJP said that Congress always prioritized power over national interests and public welfare was never the priority of the oldest political outfit in the country. He castigated Congress for not mending its ways as by making the alliance with National Conference, it has again proved that the only ambition of its leadership is to gain power, even if the path to power is against the interests of India as the case of alliance with the NC party because it has a track record of supporting those entities which are against the governments of different times.
Kavinder asked the party cadre to remain united and work for the victory of the party by disseminating information about the plans, policies and achievements of BJP among the masses. He said that even if all the opposition parties come together against the party, no power can stop it from making the next government in J&K as the biggest power is the people's mandate, which is with the BJP.
The senior BJP leader said that achievements of the Modi Government in J&K are enough to garner votes because the Congress during its over seven decades rule before 2014 had committed numerous mistakes leading to suffering and mental stress for the people. "On the contrary, Modi Government in its last ten years of rule has given immense relief to people of the UT starting from abrogation of Article 370 to development, peace and prosperity, which was the ultimate desire of the people", he maintained adding that BJP is going before the electorate with its work and dedication towards society unlike Congress, which is promising rollback of J&K to dark era while sitting in the lap of Pakistan 'supporter' NC.
Kavinder urged the people to judge things and support BJP in the polls as a vote to the Saffron party is a vote for peace, progress and prosperity.
