GDC Sunderbani hosts poster making competition to promote voter awareness

SUNDERBANI, Aug 31: Government Degree College (GDC) Sunderbani organized a Poster Making Competition as part of its ongoing efforts to raise voter awareness among students. The event was held under the banner of the Electoral Literacy Club in collaboration with the SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) program. The competition aimed to foster a participative democratic spirit among the students and encourage them to cast their votes with informed decisions during elections.
The competition, which took place on the college campus, saw active participation from students eager to express their understanding of the electoral process through art. The event was judged by Sh. Dalip Kumar (JKAS), CDPO Sunderbani, and Suresh Kumar, Supervisor of the ICDS Project Sunderbani.
After careful evaluation, the judges declared Jyoti Potoch from Semester 3rd as the first-place winner. Retish Sharma, also from Semester 3rd, secured the second position, while Amisha Sharma (Semester 3rd) and Shakti Devi (Semester 5th) shared the third position. Principal of the college, Dr. Ashu Vashist, appreciated the efforts of the Electoral Literacy Club members, including Dr. Kuldeep Raj Sharma, Prof. Davinder Kumar, Dr. Manjeet Singh, Dr. Umesh Paudel, and Prof. Jyoti Sharma, in organizing the event. She also congratulated the participating students for their creativity and enthusiasm, praising them for their contributions to promoting voter awareness.
