9/1/2024 9:18:50 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Sept 1: Director General of Police (DGP) J&K, Sh. R.R. Swain, along with Chairperson of the J&K Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA), Prof. Rasmita Das Swain, and IGP Kashmir, Sh. V.K. Birdhi, visited the family of Kirti Chakra awardee, martyr DSP Sh. Humayun Muzamil Bhat, to offer their respects and support. During the visit, they met with Ms. Fatima Humayun, the widow of the late officer, and their young son.
In a heartfelt tribute, DGP Swain and his colleagues remembered DSP Humayun as an extraordinary individual, a unique blend of strength and compassion, who was deeply committed to both his family and the people of Kashmir through his service. Reflecting on the legacy of the fallen officer, DGP Swain remarked that while Humayun is no longer physically present, his spirit as a martyr lives on, representing the sacrifices of all policemen in J&K. DGP Swain emphasized that although time may fade many things, it will never diminish the deep affection and respect that connect the living with those who have fallen in the line of duty in the J&K Police.
He concluded with a powerful message: “Long live ‘The family’,” underscoring the enduring bond between the police force and the families of its martyrs.
The visit was a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by those who serve and the unwavering support provided by the J&K Police community to the families of their fallen comrades.
