| | | PDP led government removed discrimination with Jammu, Mahajan Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 23- Vice president of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ved Mahajan today appealed to the people to support Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections for lasting peace, prosperity and development of the State in general and backward areas in particular. Addressing series of public meetings at Vijaypur and Bishnah, along with former Rajya Sabha member Trilok Singh Bajwa, former Minister Manjit Singh and A K Sawhney, he said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed led regime had set an example of good governance so strengthening of the PDP is must for peace and progress in the State. Speaking on the occasion, Trilok Singh Bajwa said that PDP had laid strong foundation for establishing sustainable peace and tranquility in the Jammu and Kashmir. He recalled the situation that was prevailing in the State when Mufti Mohammad Sayeed took over as Chief Minister. "It is all due to the visionary policies of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that both India and Pakistan were convinced to announced ceasefire on border", he pointed out and added that people from Kathua to Kargil are now living peacefully all due to the efforts of PDP leadership. . Former Minister Manjit Singh termed National Conference as mother of all problems and reminded that NC leaders made false promises with the people during the assembly elections. He asked the people to remain vigilant against designs of coalition regime. Singh further said that discrimination with all regions and sub-regions was removed under the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. "Apart from accelerating developmental activities in the State, coalition regime formulated comprehensive plans for the development of the most backward and neglected areas", he said.
