NCC Unit of GDC Kathua hosts prestigious rank ceremony

KATHUA, Sept 2: The NCC unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua organized Rank Ceremony, highlighting the achievements and leadership potential of its cadetsunder the guidance of Principal of the College, Prof.Seema Mir.
On this occasion, Prof.Seema Mir, Esteemed Principal of the college was the chief guest and Col. Kuldeep Kachru, Commanding Officer, 4 JK NCC Battalion was the Special Guest, The ceremony began with formal welcome address followed by a presentation by Lt. (Dr.) Daya Ram, Associate NCC Officer (ANO), highlighting achievements and activities of the NCC unit GDC Kathua. Notably, Cadet Mohit Knathia of the college got DG NCC Commendation for mountaineering expedition Mt. Kang Yaste 2, Ladakh. This was followed by the rank ceremony, where SUO ranks were conferred to Lucky Jasrotia and Sumit Kumar, while JUO ranks were awarded to Rajat Singh, Sunil Kumar, Suneel Kumar, and Naresh Kumar. Sargent ranks were conferred to Rahul Sharma and Lalit Sharma. Col. KuldeepKachru, Commanding Officer, 4 JK NCC Battalion, encouraged and motivated the NCC cadets to participate actively in various camps and activities conducted by NCC unit and ncc Directorate. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Seema Mir congratulated the NCC Cadets who have been honoured with ranks and appreciated the dedication and discipline of NCC unit GDC Kathua. She motivated the NCC Cadets to inculcate leadership skills and work for the welfare of society. The proceedings of the event were efficiently conducted by Cadet Rahul Sharma. The event was conducted under the convenership of Lt. (Dr.) Daya Ram, and the Vote of thanks were presented by Prof. Ajay Kumar Sharma, CTO, 1 J&K Naval Unit. The ceremony was attended by a large number of teaching faculty members , NCC officials and Cadets further emphasizing the significance of the event.
